Meet The Team

President & CEO
P. Ryan Langston
My primary objective at Flathead Ridge Ranch is to create a sustainable and healthy forest that will last for generations. I have always enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether fishing in the backwoods of Oklahoma, hiking through the desert in the Middle East, or boating on one of the many lakes of Texas. I originally fell in love with the mountains while attending Brigham Young University and then moved back to Texas where I received my law degree from the University of Texas. After spending 14 years practicing law, I left Goosehead Insurance (NASDAQ: GSHD) in 2023 to focus on managing Flathead Ridge Ranch and N5B Capital, the investment office for Mark and Robyn Jones and their family. While not working, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my wife and our four children.

Head of Ranch Operations
John Josephsen
I was raised in eastern Montana, where I began my career with the Agriculture Research Center for Montana State University. In 2006, I relocated to the Flathead Valley and continued my work with MSU at the Creston research facility. Over the years, I’ve expanded my experience across industries, including the railroad, commercial construction, and property caretaking. In 2020, I joined Lookout Ridge and currently manage the Northwest Properties for Mark and Robyn Jones. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors—hunting, fishing, and overlanding with my wife and our dogs.

Head of Security
Stan Ottosen
I grew up in the Flathead Valley and graduated from Bigfork High School. I attended the University of North Dakota and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Studies. I was hired by the Center for Aerospace Studies to train commercial pilots, but missed the rural lifestyle and my roots in Montana, so I returned to the Flathead Valley and began a 20-year career in Law Enforcement. I retired as a Detective from the Kalispell Police Department and joined FRR in 2021. I enjoy shooting, hunting, hiking, camping, and spending time out in this great state with my wife and kids. I have enjoyed working for FRR – especially the relationships gained with the neighbors and surrounding properties.

Head of Forestry
Zack Miller
I came out west to be in the mountains and pursue a career in Forestry almost 20 years ago. I graduated from the University of Montana and have held various roles in the public and private sector all pertaining to forestry and wood products. Practicing sound forestry and using proven silviculture is something I am very passionate about. Managing FRR's forests is an honor, and helps produce wood products, sequester carbon, manages wildfire risk, and provides great road infrastructure for recreation. We are fortunate to have great recreational opportunities in the valley and I believe in using our renewable resources wisely and managing for our children's future. If not practicing forestry, I enjoy spending time in the woods hunting or fishing with my wife and three children, and working on our property just west of town.

Ranch Manager
Helaman (Hemi) Quinton
Originally from Creston, British Columbia, I moved to the United States at 18 to pursue professional opportunities and further my career. Today, I am proud to serve as Property Manager at Flathead Ridge Ranch, where I have the privilege of working in one of the most breathtaking locations in the world, alongside a dedicated and exceptional team. Outside of my professional life, my fiancé and I are passionate about outdoor activities, including camping, fishing, hiking, and archery. We deeply value our time spent exploring the natural beauty that surrounds us.

Security Officer
Scott McConnell
I graduated from Flathead High School and started working for a log home company in Kalispell building custom log homes. I began taking night classes at Flathead Valley Community College pursuing a career in law enforcement. After 25 years in law enforcement in the Flathead Valley, I recently retired to join the Flathead Ridge Ranch Security Team. My wife and I enjoy raising our children in the outdoors. We like to spend time on the lake, camping, hiking, fishing, hunting and traveling Montana. I look forward to a new career with Flathead Ridge Ranch.

Vice President
Samantha Williams
I grew up going to my family's Century Farm in East Texas where I rode horses and dirt bikes nearly every weekend and learned about the cattle and timber businesses my family still operate today. I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2015 and began working for Goosehead Insurance (NASDAQ: GSHD) where I held a variety of leadership roles. In 2023, I left GSHD and joined the Jones' family investment office, N5B Capital, where I also support Flathead Ridge Ranch. In my free time, I enjoy reading and being outdoors with my husband and daughter.

Security Officer
Andrew Haag
I was born and raised in the Flathead Valley growing up in the Ferndale area. I served in the Montana Army National Guard and spent the last 23 years working in Law Enforcement. I was employed by the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, Whitefish Police Department, and for the past 17 years, the Kalispell Police Department. I retired in 2025 as a Night Shift Patrol Sergeant. I was fortunate to join the FRR security team and spend my days working in nature's beauty. In my off time I enjoy motorcycling, being outdoors, and spending time with my wife and four grown children.

Security Officer
Dennis Petersen
My family moved to Montana in 1985. I graduated from Flathead high School and have been lucky enough to stay in the Flathead Valley most of my adult life. I retired from the Kalispell Police Department as the patrol Lieutenant in Summer 2024 to join the Flathead Ridge Ranch security team. Like most Montanans, I enjoy the outdoors and spend most of my free time camping, hunting, shooting, and spending time with my friends and family.

Ranch Technician
Garrett Houston
I was born and raised in Columbia Falls and have been hunting, fishing, and exploring the Flathead Valley since I was a kid. I have my degree in Diesel Technology from the University of Montana and have many years of experience working on vehicles and equipment of all kinds. FRR has been a great opportunity for me, as I get to utilize various skills with each project we complete. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and our dogs doing anything outdoors - hunting, fishing, camping, and golfing to name a few.
